Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
The Vehicle Fleet Coordinator – Safety is responsible for managing the lifecycle of engineering fleet vehicles with a specific focus on safety fleet operations. This role ensures timely availability, accurate tracking, and compliance with corporate policies and fleet targets. The coordinator collaborates with engineering teams and leadership and relies on multiple internal systems to support testing and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with senior management to establish and maintain engineering fleets as needed.
Evaluate the validity and priority of testing to schedule appropriate vehicle requests.
Receive and distribute vehicles to designated engineering contacts.
Manage the arrival, documentation, and disposal of vehicles, while maintaining quotas and aligning with corporate policies.
Drive year-over-year fleet reduction goals and ensure alignment with corporate targets.
Maintain accurate vehicle usage records to meet corporate audit and inventory reconciliation standards.
Ensure vehicle safety and functionality through coordination with porters, garages, and external repair vendors.
Oversee the end-of-life vehicle disposal process with support from in-house porters.
Conduct and review parking lot audits to monitor active fleet and optimize vehicle utilization.
Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to improve fleet processes.
Manage all aspects related to safety fleet vehicles, including tracking, handling, and retention strategies.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
0–3 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle logistics, or engineering support.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and within collaborative team settings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with safety fleet vehicles and engineering test environments.
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and audit processes.
Strong understanding of vehicle lifecycle management and corporate compliance standards.
