**Fixed Wing Mechanic** **Description** **JOB SUMMARY:** Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub\-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications\. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance \(e\.g\., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results\)\. * Perform validation and verification testing of components\. * Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components\. * Operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies\. * Perform corrosion control, maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service components and test equipment, documents maintenance, records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily\. * Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required\. * Assist other employees to understand / solve problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships\. **Qualifications** **EDUCATION:** * Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification\. * FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred\. * Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable\. **EXPERIENCE:** * 0\-6 months of mechanical experience required * Knowledge of aircraft maintenance preferred Textron Aviation Inc\. must comply with U\.S\. export control laws and regulations\.
