Fixed Asset Accountant

Join a fast-growing defense contractor in a fully remote interim consulting role as a Fixed Assets Accountant. You will be responsible for managing the fixed assets module in Costpoint, handling additions, disposals, calculating depreciation, and working closely with business unit directors on capital expenditure spending. You will also oversee capital reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis, and perform fixed assets reconciliations by entity.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the fixed assets module in Costpoint.Handle additions, disposals, and calculate depreciation for fixed assets.Collaborate with business unit directors on capital expenditure spending.Prepare and present monthly and quarterly capital reporting schedules.Perform fixed assets reconciliations by entity.Assist in managing questions during fixed assets inventory without performing the inventory.Coordinate fixed assets inventory processes.

Essential Skills

3-5+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting.Bachelor's degree in accounting.Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP for reconciliations and reporting.Experience working in a deadline-driven accounting environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP, specifically the Fixed Assets Module.Experience in the defense contracting industry.Familiarity with SOX/DCAA compliance.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
