Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the Scamont pumps, Warman pumps, mono-pumps, conveyor belts, and rock breakers; 

Control the PH by operating the lime dosing system safely in accordance with Bulyanhulu procedures; 

Efficiently and effectively perform mechanical maintenance activities in accordance with regulations as required by the shaft maintenance controls and to ensure compliance at all times; ammonia plant

Analyzing the blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.

Follow up with mining construction, operation, electrical, and engineering teams on ventilation-related tasks.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as you may be required by the Technical Services Department from time to time

Analyzing the blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.

Constructing structural components from raw materials.

Using welding equipment to fuse structural components.

Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.

Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed.

Creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.

Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction.

Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed.

Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)

Must possess a valid Driver's License with defensive driving skills

Basic knowledge of U/G paste systems, mine rescue, and valid First Aid certificates will be an added advantage

Must have a minimum of 3 years' work experience in an underground mining operation

I must have detailed knowledge and experience in the operation of multiple metal cutting, welding, and fabrication methods.

Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal

Hazard identification and Risk assessment 

Mine health &Safety Act awareness

Must have a good understanding of underground mining operations and solid safety performance at the personal and professional level

Must be able to read and understand designed paste line and equipment plans, detailed engineered prints, and layouts

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:   

Must possess a valid Driver's License with defensive driving skills

Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
