The Onyx Club Coordinator is a dynamic leadership role responsible for managing the daily operations of The Onyx Club while coordinating engaging member-focused events and experiences. This position balances operational oversight with creative event planning to ensure a premier fitness, social, and lifestyle environment. Serving as the central point of contact for members, staff, and partners, the coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable experiences that enhance member satisfaction and strengthen the club’s reputation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily Operations (20–25 hours per week) Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Monitor facility maintenance, equipment functionality, and cleanliness, coordinating with staff or vendors as needed. Complete and review operational reports to track attendance, facility usage, and performance metrics. Manage membership processes, including new sign-ups, renewals, cancellations, and communications. Provide prospective members with detailed membership information, pricing, and tier options; conduct tours highlighting amenities and benefits. Enforce club policies and procedures to maintain a professional and positive member experience. Collaborate with leadership and staff to continuously improve operational efficiency and member satisfaction. Event Coordination (15–20 hours per week) Partner with the Director of Fitness to design and execute a dynamic event calendar aligned with member interests and club goals. Plan and coordinate social, wellness, and lifestyle events, sourcing vendors and negotiating pricing to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Work with the Food & Beverage team to curate menus tailored to specific events. Support event marketing efforts through digital, print, and in-club campaigns. Serve as the face of the club during events, warmly welcoming members, fostering community, and addressing needs (as needed). Oversee event execution to ensure seamless operations and exceptional member experiences (as needed). Gather member feedback through conversations and post-event surveys to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Maintain organized event records, budgets, and timelines to ensure consistency and professionalism in all planning. Qualifications Outgoing, personable, and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to engage professionally with members in diverse social and professional settings. Creative thinker with a passion for designing engaging and innovative experiences. Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Proactive, energetic, and solution-oriented with a strong “can-do” attitude. Strong written communication skills, with experience in promotional content creation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, membership management software, and reporting tools; ability to learn new systems quickly. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support events and member programming. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent standing, walking, and exposure to varied temperatures. Occasional climbing of stairs, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting/bending. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 60 lbs on occasion. Manual tasks such as folding/unfolding equipment or event materials. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $23.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
