UVA Business Services seeks applications for a Fiscal & Procurement Specialist/Sr Fiscal & Procurement Specialist to join our team. The position will be filled at either the Fiscal or Sr Fiscal level, commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
This role plays a pivotal role in supporting the operational functions across the Business Services units including Dining, Parking, Print, Mail, Bookstore, Housing and the Cavalier Card Office.
The successful candidate will manage the financial activities and processes including purchasing activities, while ensuring compliance with the University’s established policies to ensure the safeguarding of financial resources. This position supports the day-to-day processing of vendor payments, managing vendor relationships and needed reporting and adjustments associated with Business Services finances.
The ideal candidate will have relevant financial and procurement experience, effective communication skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Core Responsibilities
Perform procurement functions supporting the execution of contracting goods and servicesProcess requisitions and coordinate with various stakeholdersReview and approve requisitions initiated by other Business Services usersEnsure compliance with University procurement policiesProcess Workday transactions (including purchasing, accounting adjustments, change orders, etc.)Collaborate proactively with stakeholdersReview expense reports for Business Services CardholdersProcess invoices for paymentProcess accounting adjustments, account certifications and various other finance related tasksOther duties as may be assignedCustomer Service
Serve as the primary contact for suppliersSupport and mentor the less experienced with purchasing tasksMonitor activity through use of both Workday and UBI reporting for the overall management of financials and continuous improvement effortsSr. Fiscal Specialist

This is a hybrid position located in Charlottesville, Va, with the expectation of in-person presence 2-3 days a week.
