First Aid Training Specialist

VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: FIRST AID TRAINING SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Senior Training Specialist – Onboarding & Compliance, you will be responsible for conducting first aid training and assist the Senior Training Specialist in running First Aid activities and programs.

Your Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Assists the Senior training specialist in organizing First Aid classes, lecturing and carrying out demonstrations for employees in the respective First Aid Courses. 

Send invitations to employees whose first aid certificates have expired or nearly so in order that they may renew them as required. 

Maintains an up-to-date manual and electronic record of first aid activities. 

Prepare first aid activities reports as required.

Carries out regular inspections of all surfaces and underground First Aid stations and ensures that these are adequately stocked with appropriate materials. Ensure full compliance with Lumwana Mine workplace inductions, rules, and critical procedures while actively supporting and implementing site safety policies and initiatives.  

Promote, monitor, and enforce safe work practices among apprentices and training staff; identify hazards in work areas/workshops and apply effective controls. 

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Full Grade 12 School Certificate.Must be in possession of a CMZCFA Silver/ Gold Medal First Aid Certificate.

Diploma in education techniques/ methods course offered by a recognized training institution will be an added advantage.

Diploma in Teaching Methodology or equivalent training qualification. Accredited with TEVET

Must be Computer literate

Experience in working in mechanical engineering fields.

Strong in numeracy and presentation skills

Planning and good record keeping.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team safely and improve team safety awareness.

Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas.
