Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Low-Level Embedded/Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining firmware for our power supply products. You will work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our products.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems in power supply products.Collaborate with hardware engineers to define firmware requirements and specifications.Implement low-level drivers and protocols for various peripherals and communication interfaces.Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency.Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, providing timely resolutions.Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in embedded systems and firmware development.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the power supply industry.Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripherals.Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).Knowledge of power electronics and power supply design principles.Experience with safety-critical firmware development.Work Environment
The company has experienced growth in both its customer base and production needs, but its physical space has not kept pace. The prototyping and production areas may be limited, requiring adaptability and efficient use of available resources.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $58.00/hr.
