Firmware Developer (m/f/d)

At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We would like to invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products within established, stable, and successful development project „ET 200 IO´s“. To strengthen world leading position of ET 200 Input/Outputs, we start development of new IO modules, integration of new communication protocols and industrial EDGE technologies. 

Your task will be:

creating of source code in C / C ++ for embedded systems design of software architecture and realization of its implementation  international cooperation with other colleagues from different areas of development - hardware, test, project management and production  participation in small projects or in parts of a large project where you will learn to understand robust FW design and modern industrial buses creating of functional / unit tests and code review participation creating of documentation What we will appreciate from you:
bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic engineering or sufficient work experience good knowledge of C or C ++ programming fluent in spoken and written English knowledge of GIT versioning system experience with embedded systems and with real time operation systemsexperience with the use of hardware debugging toolsan advantage is knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, MODBUS/TCP, Ethernet/IP). an advantage is knowledge of TLS 1.2/1.3, X.509, and symmetric as well as asymmetric cryptographic algorithms—plus, above all, the ability to actively integrate and use these libraries in practice.What can you gain by joining us?
