The **Firewall Administrator** is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network solutions using Palo Alto Networks firewalls to protect organizational assets and ensure resilient and compliant network infrastructure. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deploy firewall services, manage security configurations, and support operational excellence in enterprise environments such as Azure Stack Hub and SAP systems. **Responsibilities** + Design and implement firewall infrastructure for SAP systems and Azure Stack Hub, including network topology and policy design. + Migrate legacy firewalls to Palo Alto platforms, including ALCM activities. + Configure and upgrade PAN-OS versions and firewall models independently. + Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, policy misconfigurations, and performance issues in firewalls. + Monitor and tune Azure Stack Hub firewall performance to meet operational standards. + Implement and manage firewall security policies (e.g., ACLs, NAT rules). + Leverage Panorama to create and manage templates across firewall deployments. + Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams for secure solution design. + Stay current on industry trends and Palo Alto best practices for Azure Stack Hub. + Address daily network security issues, including routing, policy, and operational challenges. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED equivalent + 3+ years of relevant experience + DOD 8140 IAT II + TS/SCI **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewall configuration and PAN-OS administration. + Skill in designing secure network topologies for cloud platforms like Azure Stack Hub. + Ability to perform end-to-end firewall migrations and upgrades. + Ability to diagnose and resolve firewall connectivity and performance issues. + Knowledge of Panorama and centralized management techniques. + Skill in configuring ACLs, NAT policies, and security zones. + Ability to interpret and follow ITSM processes and compliance frameworks. + Knowledge of SAP system connectivity and associated network requirements. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
