What are we looking for?

The Fire-Stopping Inspector performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you’ll do:

Shift/Schedule: 8 hours/day, 7 am to 4 pm, OT allowed if approved by client.Review documents to verify the UL system materials and installation are compliant with manufacturer requirements and approved construction documentsConduct visual and destructive testingProvide specific inspection report for each inspection according to approved reporting method and means of Samsung projectWork utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagramsMaintain detailed documentation and data from test resultsUse specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasksMake detailed observations, give limited interpretation, detailed documentation and data from test resultsCommunicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

3 years' experience in construction industry2 years' as firestopping inspector, having the ability to review UL systems and engineering judgments for the fire-stopping assemblyIFC or ICC Fire-Stopping Inspector certification or ability to obtain immediatelyOSHA 10 certificationValid Driver's License and reliable driving recordEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skillsBasic math, calculator, and computer skillsThe ability to read and understand work plansMust be able to work off shift and overtime as neededAbility to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in soundAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperaturesAbility to climb occasionally, and work at various heightsAbility to work over night hours and off shift

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentIFC or ICC Fire-Stopping Inspector certification
