About the Position

In this role, you will be responsible for...

Fiscal Responsibilities

Monitor program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure fiscal accuracy.

Compile and analyze financial data, forecasts, and reports.

Coordinate procurement activities, including orders, requisitions, contracts, and invoices.

Conduct audits, reconciliations, and spending analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Support annual and monthly budget processes, including financial reporting and compliance.

Data Management & IT Support

Maintain and refresh financial data across departmental systems.

Integrate and manage data from platforms such as OneSolution, GovMax, OnBase, and Maximo.

Develop and oversee Smartsheet solutions, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.

Provide technical support for SaaS tools like Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and Grammarly.

Update and maintain the Fire Department's internal and public-facing websites.

Business Administration

Lead or support special projects and department-wide initiatives.

Partner with Procurement to ensure accurate and timely expenditures.

Assist with quarterly Smartsheet User Group coordination.

Provide training and guidance to staff on fiscal processes and technologies.

Serve as backup support for colleagues and management (when needed).

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (no weekends!)

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Associate degree from an accredited college or university with 3 years of job-related experience.

OR: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related field with one year of job-related experience.

OR: 5 years of professional related experience can be substituted for the degree (at management discretion).

The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to support collaboration and reporting.

Strong skills in financial reporting, data visualization, and advanced Excel functions, including Power Query, M Language, DAX, and VBA Macros.

Experience with business intelligence and project management tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, and other SaaS platforms.

Technical knowledge of software and systems, including ArcGIS, APIs, HTML, CSS, Adobe, Microsoft O365, GovMax, Maximo, ONESolution, and OnBase.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range: $53,456.00 - $57,200.00
