We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Fire and Security Engineer covering the North of Scotland

Salary - £39,443.02 per annum plus standby allowance c£290 per week, when on rota, and appropriate overtime rate when attending the call, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service plus bank holidays
You’ll be required to join an out of hours callout rota 1 in 4 weeks covering a wider area.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time 37 hours 30 minutes per week (excluding meal breaks) - typical attendance will be 08:00 until 16:00 Monday to Friday however, flexibility is essential.
You will cover postcodes (AB) Aberdeen, (IV) Inverness, (HS) Outer Hebrides, (ZE) Shetland Islands, (DD) Dundee and (PH) Perth
We’re seeking a technically proficient engineer with expertise in fire and security systems to lead maintenance across diverse FM environments. The role demands hands-on experience with system diagnostics, compliance standards, and multi-site operations. A vehicle will be provided for necessary travel.
Key aspects of the role include
Maintain fire and security systems across commercial sites
Diagnose faults and provide expert guidance to customers and colleagues
Deliver planned and corrective maintenance to meet contract standards
Make informed technical decisions to ensure quality, cost, and time targets
Liaise daily with customer representatives to meet expectations
Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example
Represent Royal Mail P&FS professionally, building strong customer relationships
About You
Electrical certification (18th Edition) and City & Guilds 2382 & 2391
FIA BS5839 fire alarm maintenance qualification (preferred)
Experience with Honeywell Galaxy intruder systems, NET-AX & PRO24 access control
Strong knowledge of Fire, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, IP & networked systems
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills across multiple systems
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to customers
Comfortable working at heights (IPAF/MEWP certification ideal)
Valid UK driving licence (preferably clean)
Computer literacy an advantage
