Areyou passionate about driving high standards in fire safety and risk management?As the Sodexo Fire & DSEAR Advisor for our prestigious Leonardo Helicopterscontract in Yeovil, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust Fire Safetyand DSEAR governance. Working closely with internal teams and externalstakeholders, you will develop, implement, and maintain LHUK’s Fire Safety andDSEAR strategy, foster a positive fire safety culture across the estate, andestablish a best-in-class Fire Safety and DSEAR Management System.

KeyResponsibilities:

Be the trusted expert – Provide professional fire safety advice to managers, staff, consultants, and project teams across the estate.Drive compliance – Lead and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring action plans are accurate, up to date, and aligned with regulations.Support safe design – Prepare FRAs for refurbishment and new build projects, and manage DSEAR assessments with practical, effective control measures.Lead investigations – Analyse fire incidents to identify root causes and recommend proactive risk-reduction strategies.Act as the key contact – Manage petroleum licensing, liaise with insurers, and support business continuity through expert fire safety input.Build strong partnerships – Maintain collaborative relationships with Fire & Rescue Services and the on-site LHUK Fire Service.

WhatWe’re Looking For:

Industry-recognised expertise with qualifications such as CFPA, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, or Level 4 Diploma, and membership at GIFireE (or equivalent) level.Proven leadership experience delivering high-impact Fire Risk Assessments and DSEAR compliance, ideally with over 10 years in fire safety and hazardous risk environments.In-depth knowledge and strategic insight into UK fire safety legislation, DSEAR/ATEX regulations, and hazardous area classification standards.Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and collaborate effectively across all organisational levels.Commitment to excellence through professional memberships (e.g., NAHFO, IFE, IFSM, IOSH) and a passion for building a strong safety culture.
