FIPS 140 Security Engineer

Summary: Seeking a FIPS 140 Security Engineer to work on validation projects, security analysis, and product evaluations.

Requirements:

BS degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience Cryptographic Validation Program (CVP) Certification Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and PKI Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java) Understanding of security standard requirements Network setup experience and familiarity with protocols like SSH, IPsec, TLS Testing environment setup and technical writing skills Python programming expertise and debugging experience Statistical analysis of entropy sources

Preferred Skills:

Related certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) Knowledge of Active Directory and Linux Hands-on experience with tools like oscilloscope and function generator X.509 certificate validation knowledge

Responsibilities:

Work on varied FIPS 140 validation projects Conduct general security analysis and design work Perform vulnerability testing and physical security testing Analyze system-level logic and evaluate products against standards Test cryptographic algorithms and review source code Write technical reports and automate testing through scripting

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
