Job Description

The Mobility Electronics (ME) division engineers a wide portfolio of micro-mechanical sensors that are essential to modern life, from automotive safety and navigation over consumer devices like smartphones and hearables up to control systems in spacecrafts. You can find Bosch sensors everywhere. Our team ensures the performance and reliability of these products by applying sophisticated simulation technologies. We specialize in solving complex structural problems at the micro-scale and often at the edge of what is physically possible. Our work is conducted in a highly dynamic, international setting, in close collaboration with in-house manufacturing and together with world-renowned brands from the automotive and consumer industry.

Your tasks:

► Simulation of sensors for automotive and consumer applications

► Finite-element analyses (FEA) of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)

► Continuous development of simulation methods including programming of tools

► Broad range of FEA topics related to novel sensor designs

► Evaluation, documentation and presentation of simulation results to colleagues, partners and customers

► Proposing innovative changes in the micro-structure based on simulation data

► Active participation in international project teams

Qualifications

► Education

Mechanical engineer, civil engineer, physicist or similar engineering disciplineSolid understanding of structural mechanics and FEA

► Practical experience

Knowledge in the application of FEA software for structural analysis (preferably ANSYS Mechanical or LS-DYNA)Programming knowledge in MATLAB is an advantage Knowledge in MEMS is an advantage

► Personality & mindset

A structured, precise, and solution-oriented way of working with the ability to analyze and evaluate complex technical problemsDedicated team player who enjoys collaborating in an international and multidisciplinary environmentYou work proactively, take responsibility for your projects, and drive them forward independently

► Communication skills

Professional English in oral and written formGerman knowledge is an advantage
