Financial Systems & Project Manager
Description We are looking for a Financial Systems & Project Manager to lead and optimize finance-related technology initiatives within our organization. This role involves collaborating with attorneys, administrative teams, IT professionals, and external vendors to enhance operational efficiency and deliver impactful results. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining financial systems while driving automation, compliance, and analytics solutions. Responsibilities: • Manage the full lifecycle of finance-related technology projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, set priorities, and address technical challenges. • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement system improvements to enhance productivity. • Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate project milestones to achieve organizational goals. • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and user adoption across all financial tools and platforms. • Provide strategic financial insights to support project planning, reporting, and implementation. • Maintain compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, including revenue recognition standards. • Develop and deliver training programs to improve staff proficiency with financial systems. • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for senior leadership as needed. • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to meet evolving business needs. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in project management. • Expertise in financial systems implementation and management; experience with Aderant is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of U.S. accounting standards and internal control practices. • Exceptional communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is required. • Familiarity with financial analysis tools, dashboards, and reporting systems such as Microsoft SQL and Adaptive Insights. • Availability to work in the office one day per week in Los Angeles, California.
