How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.

Purpose:

This role will primarily be focused on Regulatory Reporting (RBI & Basel) operational process planning, run execution and report delivery. Included in the scope of work is impact assessment of production changes and the update of E2E process flows and runbooks. Additionally, this role will work closely with process and system owners across the organization to document, track, and resolve operational processing issues.

 

Responsibilities:         

This analyst role is responsible for ensuring operational processes are accurately monitored and executed according to the run book & operational calendar. Responsibilities include:

Support in documenting, tracking, and resolving issues & changes impacting the operational processes. Prepare documentation, runbooks, dashboards, reporting and presentationsBusiness communication regarding progress on open items. Raising production incidents and driving issue resolution through tactical fixes, root cause analysis, permanent fixesResponsible for planning and ensuring successful completion of operational activities. Prepare status updates and capture processing statisticsRetrieve and analyze the data from underlying analytical/operational databases to develop understanding and identify process improvements to gain efficienciesAssist with the identification, development, testing and monitoring of operational controls as per respective process PRSA and Amex wide Issue Management guidelinesPlanning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for changes/initiatives that impact operational processesOpen to working extended (sporadically though) hours or on weekends on a rotational basis

Qualifications & Behavioral Skills:

Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Computer ScienceGood communication - both written and verbal, facilitation, and presentation writing skillsAnalytical and Fin Tech mindset;Driving automation, process improvements and Controls enhancement leveraging strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills.Ability to assess risks, impacts or implications of production changes to operations processesAbility to handle a high-pressure environment and make decisions in challenging situationsExperience working on a globally and culturally diverse team and supporting global processes Ability to define, map and document a business process through process flows or other related documentsStrong relationship management and conflict resolution skills with a proven track record of collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners

Technical Skills & Knowledge of Platforms

Strong SQL & Big Query skillset to query and analyze Falcon and GCP/Lumi respectivelyExperience on Generative AI and Google Cloud Platform is preferredKnowledge of OFSAA toolset, scheduling tools (Automic/Airflow), Lombard Agile Risk Reporter Portal, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)/MicroStrategy is recommendedExperience with American Express accounting and reporting processes, (including financial and regulatory reporting) is desirableKnowledge of Oracle Financials (eBiz suite, GL, FAH, HFM)  and AXP systems (GDR/ARDW/TMS/ODS) preferredPreferred familiarity with Amex project methodology (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile) and related testing methodologies. Prior testing experience is a plus.
