Occupational Health Financial Services Coordinator – Work at Home - South Carolina
The Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for creating payment plans for patients and making sure they stick to their plans, monitoring transactions in accounts payable and receiving, and preparing financial reports.
Essential Functions:
Receives and processes all invoices for payment by end of the month while ensuring accuracyConducts routine audits as necessary to ensure accurate billingEnters patient charges, productivity, and office volumes on a daily basisTracks and maintains operational statistics and accurately reports data to Finance and other appropriate entities monthlyCommunicates with new potential customers by quoting prices and providing formal proposals upon requestOther duties as assignedEducation:
High School Degree or GED (required)Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred, not required)Experience:
3 years of experience in an accounting or medical office environment (required) 5 years of experience of medical billing experience (preferred, not required)2+ years’ experience with Excel (required)2 -3 years’ Epic experience (preferred)Skills & Abilities:
Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsEngage with staff and patients in a professional mannerThe Coordinator of Financial Services is responsible for daily revenue cycle processes that may include cash management, charge capture (charge posting, invoice processing, and billing of invoices/claims), AR follow up (denials, payer follow up, patient collections) and reporting.
Essential Job Functions
Processes monthly billing to companies for services rendered.
Ensures all areas of accounts receivable are operational and up to date.
Assist with entering price increases and data updates into the Practice Management system to ensure system is kept up to date with the most recent and accurate information.
Adds new customer information into Practice Management system with appropriate clinical and billing protocols.
Assists Front office staff as needed and daily lunch breaks when necessary.
Account follow up on existing AR Balances for payment
Denial management and root cause prevention process to meet KPI expectations
Report processing and review for trending on KPIs and other areas of results to identify trends and opportunities.

Education
High school/GED (required)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
Work Experience
3 years of experience in an accounting office or medical office environment (required)
2+ years’ experience with Excel (required)
