This strategic role focuses on building and expanding relationships with tier-1 and tier-2 banking and financial markets clients, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple programs of work. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and play a pivotal role in IBM’s growth strategy for the region. Key Responsibilities : * Work with a senior client partner to help grow IBM Consulting’s business across the Northern Banking region * Own and grow client relationships across major banking and financial services organisations in Australia, with a focus on strategic accounts. * Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, influencing business and technology agendas. * Drive business development: identify opportunities, shape solutions, lead proposals, and negotiate contracts to achieve revenue and signings targets. * Collaborate across IBM’s practices and service lines to bring integrated solutions spanning digital, data, AI, cloud, and core banking. * Lead account planning and growth strategies, ensuring alignment with client priorities and IBM’s objectives. * Oversee delivery of key engagements, ensuring quality, risk management, and client satisfaction, positioning IBM as the execution partner of choice. * Contribute to IBM’s Financial Services growth strategy, including market development and thought leadership. **Required technical and professional expertise** Qualifications & Requirements * 12+ years of experience in consulting and/or systems integration, with a strong track record in the banking industry. * Deep client network and proven relationship management experience within Australian financial services. * Demonstrated success in securing and delivering consulting, systems integration, and application outsourcing engagements. * Expertise in technology services such as digital transformation, data and AI, cloud, software engineering, core banking, testing, and application support. * Strong strategic account planning skills, including ability to shape multi-year transformation programmes. * Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC) and industry trends impacting financial services highly preferred * Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence at C-suite level. * Ability to operate independently while collaborating across a global organisation.
