Senior AssociateJob Description & Summary
You will be part of Operations consulting practice dedicated to the Financial Services industry (banking and capital markets, pensions, insurance, wealth management, asset management, private equity, real estate). You will help our clients transform their businesses and implement initiatives supporting their business agenda and strategic plans. You will perform a wide array of projects such as business and operational diagnostics, assessments and benchmarking, vision and roadmap definitions, target operating model design, detailed planning, project management and implementation management of business and change initiatives. Your primary focus will be to help clients transform and modernize their customer facing and core operational functions and capabilities. You will operate within a sector vertical or across many sectors including banking, insurance, asset and wealth management, real estate, private equity and pension funds. You will also work as part of multidisciplinary teams composed of members outside the Operations practice and coming from all of our lines of services. You will help clients adopt modern ways of working enabled by leading technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence.Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Financial Services Senior Associate within the Operations practice, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Proactively lead the Financial Services practice by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide business and technical advice across disciplines Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of financial services businesses Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities Responsible for a majority of day to day client communications Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team Responsibility for management of engagement financials Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching Lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of exceptional services and outcomes to our clients; Be accountable for all aspects of project delivery, quality and economics. Develop innovative solutions for our clients complex business and technology issues; Maintain existing and develop new client relationships through active participation and presence in the local market; Continue to evolve and enhance your profile in the local market; and, Identify, pursue and close new opportunities with new and existing clients.
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Deep knowledge of the Financial Services domain (e.g. banking, capital markets, pensions, insurance, wealth management, asset management, private equity, etc) with a focus on corporate and operational strategies.
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
3 to 5 or more years in one or more areas in Financial Services with a focus in strategy and operations consulting.
Experience developing business and technology strategies and roadmaps, including comfort with various frameworks and methodologies, to enable the client to deliver as-is, future state and transformed services.
Manage client relationships at all levels and build new opportunities and offering
Build trusted advisor relationships with key Financial Services clients with a focus on business relationships from front office to operations including technology functions
Extensive network in the market with a proven track record of working with multifaceted stakeholders within major banks and asset managers
The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
