Together for better. **About the Role:** The Financial Risk Analyst will assist in supporting the Bank’s corporate, enterprise, and financial risk management practices,ensuring compliance with the company’s riskappetite, key risk indicators, policies, and procedures. Under the supervision of theFinancial and Model Risk Director, the Financial Risk Analyst supports risk management initiatives, assisting in cross-departmental projects and gaining exposure to senior professionals, external consultants, and regulatory reviews. This roleinvolves contributing to effective challenge reviews of business units’ processes, models, and assumptions under the guidance ofsenior risk professionals. + Collaborate with the respective business units that support financial risk and enterprise risk. + Assists in root cause analysis and contributes to effective challenge of business units' processes, controls, methodologies, andassumptions related to the Bank’s Financial Risk Management program. + Supports the development and implementation of processes to improve monitoring, reporting, and measurement within thefinancial and enterprise risk management frameworks under senior guidance. + Supports continuous and ongoing monitoring of internal, market, and regulatory conditions while identifying and assessingpotential risks. + Prepare reports and analysis for senior management and various committees. + Actively engage, support, and participate in both the Financial and Model Risk Management program and Enterprise RiskManagement program. + Supports ad hoc requests from the business units, senior management, and regulators as necessary + Ensures activities meet internal policy and regulatory standards of “effective challenge. + Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities –knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. + Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. + Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, RegulationE, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. + May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. + Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. + Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. + Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice” + May perform other duties as assigned **About** **You:** + Bachelor’sDegreeBusiness Administration, economics, accounting, or finance Required + Master’s Degree MBA, economics, accounting, or finance Preferred. + 2-5 years in banking or financial services as a Financial Risk Analyst, FinancialAnalyst, Risk Analyst, or similar. Required. + General understanding of statistical modeling and econometric forecasting; general understanding of financial and enterprise riskmanagement frameworks, and stress testing. + General understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial and model risk management (FRB/OCC SR 11-7, 10-6, 10-1), Basel II/III capital requirements, and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST). + General understanding of various risk frameworks, accounting standards, and financial reports. + Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with database management tools (SQL, Python, etc.) a plus. + Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to assist in translating financial analysis into clear,practical insights for business teams under senior guidance. + Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. + Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. + Certification as Financial Risk Manager(FRM), Professional Risk Manager (PRMIA),Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) **Job Location(s):** Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s).
