Your role in a nutshell:The Financial Reporting Manager leads the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting of Vodafone Albania, in alignment with Group and local standards. Responsible for managing a team of Financial Reporting Analysts, the role ensures adherence to IFRS, Local GAAP, and internal control frameworks while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data across SAP and HFM systems. This role acts as a key finance partner, providing strategic insights through robust analysis and reporting to support decision-making across the organization. A strong foundation in accounting, technical proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement and team development are essential for success in this role.
What you’ll do:• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Financial Reporting Analysts to drive high performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate, insightful Group and Statutory financial reports, and executive summaries.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, Local GAAP and internal accounting policies, providing expert technical accounting guidance as required.
• Manage end-to-end financial reporting processes within SAP and HFM, including reporting automation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure data accuracy through regular balance sheet reconciliations and data quality checks.
• Foster effective cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Accounting, BI, Commercial, and Margin Assurance to ensure alignment and integrity of financial data.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of revenue performance and financial variances to support informed decision-making.
• Lead and coordinate audit engagements, ensuring timely, thorough responses to internal and external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting frameworks, documentation, automation, and control environments.
• Promote a culture of professional development by encouraging and supporting team members in pursuing professional qualifications.
• Financial Reporting Expertise:
+5 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a strong focus on financial reporting. A deep understanding of complex reporting structures, regulatory requirements, and the nuances of revenue recognition.
• Technical Accounting Proficiency
Expertise in IFRS, including telecom-specific standards IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, with the ability to interpret and apply them for accurate, compliant financial reporting.
• Leadership and Team Development
Proven leadership in mentoring and developing finance teams, setting clear expectations, driving performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. Skilled in identifying financial trends, investigating anomalies, and providing insightful analysis to inform business strategy and support decision-making.
• Strong Controls and Governance Orientation
Strong commitment to data integrity, financial accuracy, and internal controls; experienced in maintaining and improving control environments to ensure compliance with policies and audit standards.
• Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled at translating complex financial data into clear insights for senior management, with a proven ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships.
• Systems Proficiency
Advanced expertise in financial systems, preferably SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), leveraging them for data consolidation, automation, and efficient reporting.
• Adaptability and Prioritization
Adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and respond proactively to change.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Completion or progress towards a recognized accounting qualification.
• Experience with Financial Audits and Compliance, with knowledge of internal control frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge / work experience of International Financial Reporting Standards and Local GAAP.
