Provide oversight and management of US GAAP reporting for allocated Enterprise entities, in close collaboration with the other Supervisor of Financial Reporting and Finance Manager for European Finance Enterprise.
**In This Role, Your responsibilities Will Be:**
US GAAP Reporting
Ownership of the monthly Hyperion reporting of allocated European entities.
+ Execute high-quality monthly reporting and timely completion of Corporate European Holding Company general ledgers and related analysis
+ Ensure accurate loading of European Holding Company general ledgers into Hyperion via both automated and manual processes, supported by validation checks and analytics
+ Own and manage the general ledgers of allocated entities. If a finance company - working closely with Treasury to ensure accurate recording of non-US treasury activities in the ERP system—including cash pooling, intercompany loans, hedge accounting, interest accruals, and associated withholding taxes
+ Actively respond to reporting queries from Enterprise US Headquarters
+ Identify and resolve reporting validations and intercompany mismatches with Foreign European Holdings.
+ Support the European corporate consolidation process for both Holding and Finance Companies, ensuring Hyperion elimination entries are properly approved, documented, and booked
**Monthly & quarterly POR and variance reporting**
+ Monthly actuals updates of Presidents Operating Reports (PORs) for allocated corporate entities, delivering timely and accurate data including quality variance analysis versus POR and budget.
+ Quarterly forecast updates of Presidents Operating Reports (PORs) for allocated corporate entities, working in close collaboration with Finance Manager, ensuring a timely and accurate submission with quality variance analysis versus POR and budget.
**Statutory Reporting & Audit**
+ Support the Finance Manager in the planning of annual statutory reporting data collection and audit activities for Emerson’s European entities, including coordination with European audit teams to align timelines and address anticipated challenges
+ Work in close partnership with Emerson’s GSR team and KPMG to ensure an efficient and timely PBC completion as required for the statutory audits
**Tax – US Tax reporting of allocated entities**
+ Support the Finance Manager to deliver the US tax reporting for Emerson’s European Holding and Finance Companies
+ Collaborate closely with Emerson’s European and US tax teams to ensure high-quality, transparent US GAAP tax accounting and reporting for both standalone entities and tax group structures
+ Manage the balance sheet tax positions, including quarterly updates in Emerson’s OneSource tax system to support accurate US tax calculations for European corporate entities
+ Calculate annual Return-to-Provision (RTP) entries, following the filing of the Tax Return for allocated entities. Deliver detailed analysis and documentation, to ensure accurate input into OneSource and appropriate balance sheet true-up adjustments
+ Complete and submit annual US tax reporting packs in line with corporate requirements
+ Support the Finance manager in the annual SOX review process for European tax accruals, including preparation and submission of supporting documentation for the US Tax Department
**Internal Control**
+ Maintain awareness of internal controls and authority levels to safeguard Emerson’s assets, including compliance with the Wire Transfer Program and disbursement requirements
**Other**
+ Annual and quarterly completion of US and UK statistical reports.
+ Reviewing and release of payment files for Treasury approval.
+ Participate in finance-related projects as required

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ University Degree in Finance/Accounting/ Business or related
+ Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), ideally with a Big 4 practice background
+ Minimum of 4-5 years post-qualification experience in Accounting/Finance, with a strong understanding of European accounting standards
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a strong aptitude for leveraging applications and identifying/adopting new technology tools
+ Dependable and self-directed, with the ability to manage workload effectively and independently
+ Strong English language skills are essential
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Exposure to treasury and tax reporting/accounting is highly beneficial
+ Experience with Sage and Hyperion is advantageous, as is familiarity with tax and treasury software
