Financial Reporting Associate

 

As the Financial Reporting Associate, you will:

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the team in managing general ledgers and monthly closing activities to ensure accurate financial and business reporting. They will also be responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and contribute to the team's success in focusing on and successfully completing the SAP implementation.

Analyze and prepare monthly accounting entries, including accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and inventory costing, based on principles agreed upon with the Market and Factory. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with JTI IFRS accounting principles. Compile quarterly reports and collaborate closely with related functions to support the team manager in annual statutory audits and financial statement preparation. Maintain general ledgers by accurately entering, analyzing, and classifying transactions. Perform assigned JSOX and operational controls in compliance with internal documentation. Develop strong collaborative and interactive relationships with team members and other departments/functions to ensure the delivery of reliable and relevant accounting information. Expand knowledge of SAP, accounting/tax regulations, and business processes to maintain a high level of professionalism. Support process improvements and analyze their impact on group activities in close collaboration with colleagues. Assist the team manager and subject matter experts in user acceptance testing, as applicable. Manage various tasks and projects as they arise or upon the manager’s request.

 

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in finance, preferably with a focus on accounting and general ledger functions Hands-on experience with SAP and ERP systems preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an advantage Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication
