Aston Carter's large client in Langley is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team! This individual will be responsible for helping prepare financial reports, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and working with complex accounting items across multiple companies and currencies.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong accounting skills who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a fast‑moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close:

Help run quarter‑end and year‑end closePrepare consolidated financial statements under IFRSAssist with management discussion & analysis and public filingsReview financial reports to make sure numbers are accurate and consistent

Accounting & Technical Work:

Prepare or review:Cash flow statementsJournal entries and account reconciliationsResearch accounting issues and write short accounting memosHelp implement new accounting standardsSupport and follow company accounting policies

Analyst & Audit Support:

Review financial results and explain differences from prior periodsWork with external auditors and answer audit questionsMake sure documentation and controls are ready for audits

Teamwork & Improvements:

Look for ways to improve processes and reduce manual workWork closely with other teams across the businessSupport and mentor junior team members when needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

CPA designation (completed or close to completion)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar3–5 years of accounting experience, (ideally from Public accounting or a publicly traded or reporting company)Good understanding of IFRSExperience with financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, accruals and foreign exchangeExperience working with external auditorsStrong Excel skillsExperience using an ERP system

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience in distribution or complex operational businessesExperience working in a multi‑currency, multi‑entity company
