Newsweek Recognizes Sedgwick as America’s Greatest Workplaces National Top Companies Certified as a Great Place to Work® Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance Financial Reporting Analyst **Key roles** The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role within the financial reporting and analysis team, with the role being responsible for the accounting and reporting and analysis of the business. **Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)** + Full ownership of the General Ledgers. + Responsible for the accuracy of all financial data. + Assist the FR&A Manager in the supervision and oversight of Accounts Assistant roles. + Review processes and drive efficiencies. + Oversee the Accounts Assistant roles when required. + Manage the preparation and completion of the month-end process. + Present Income Stmt + Stmt of Financial Position at each month end to FR&A Manager. + Ensure accuracy and completeness of the day-to-day key financial reporting outputs. + Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure all revenue and costs are transacted into the Finance system prior to month-end deadlines. + Assist in the timely reconciliations of all company balance sheet accounts. + Support the FR&A Manager in meeting the reporting deadlines – CRO / CBI / Revenue. + Profit and loss analysis and journal entries and reviews – BU / Corp Margin Reporting. + Management of intercompany accounts and regular engagement with Group entities. + Assist in the preparation of all returns (PAYE, VAT, Corporation tax, VIES, WHT, 46G etc.). + Liaising with External tax consultants on timely and accurate tax submissions. + Cash-flow projections. + Assistance in the preparation and completion of Statutory Financial statements for annual audit and co-ordination thereafter. + Assist FR&A Manager in preparation of annual Budgets/Forecasts. + Assist FR&A Manager in all reporting to Group Finance. + Play a leading role in process & system improvements. + Project work and ad hoc tasks as required by management. + Key contact within the audit process - to attend all audit calls and manage the progress. + International banking an advantage. + Ad hoc duties and projects as requested by the business. **Qualifications/skills** + Part- Qualified or Finance Qualification. + Strong technical knowledge of various accounting standards. + Experience with SAP accounting system preferable but not essential. + Experience working within a busy Finance department. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. + Good collaborative skills, able to quickly establish effective internal and external working relationships with key people across different services/functions. + Calmness and ability to respond effectively when under pressure e.g., in an emergency. + Ability to meet weekly / monthly deadlines. + Ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team. + Sound knowledge of MS Excel and previous experience with financial systems. + Highly numeric with strong attention to detail and process. + Strong Tax knowledge. + Ability to follow up on unresolved issues in timely and efficient manner. + People person who has the skill set to ensure the ethos of Sedgwick Ireland ‘caring counts’ is embedded within the team. + An individual who adheres to the highest ethical standards, guaranteeing that integrity is the cornerstone of the financial reporting and analysis team. **Personal attributes** + High levels of motivation and enthusiasm. + Willingness to operate flexible hours – may be a requirement to work additional hours. + A positive attitude, co-operative, willing to comply with company policies and procedures and work constructively with colleagues. + Willing to contribute to the overall improvement and success of the business, working practices. + Capable of working well in a team environment – guide / mentor Accounts Assistants. + Capacity to work independently and demonstrate initiative. + Proactive approach. + Willing to commit to our core values. + Willingness to learn and develop. **Benefits of working for Sedgwick in Ireland** + Bike to Work Scheme + Tax Saver Travel Scheme + Discounted onsite Gym Membership (Dublin 4) + Discounted onsite Montessori (Dublin 4) + EAP – Employee Assistance Programme + Health Insurance Scheme + Life Cover + PHI – Permanent Health Insurance + Exams & Professional Membership Fees + Professional and personal development opportunities Sedgwick is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
