Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Financial Reporting & Analysis Accountant. Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports * Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into budget vs. actual performance * Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Support audits and financial reviews conducted by government agencies * Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in month-end and year-end close processes * Develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis * Monitor spending and ensure alignment with contract requirements * Collaborate with program managers, procurement teams, and senior leadership to optimize financial performance * Assist in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and other regulatory filings
