JOB SUMMARY:
The Corporate Accountant will support the Finance Operations, Accounting Operations team, contributing to the success of this PE-backed IT integration company. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, hands-on, passionate, and highly consultative in nature. The individual will work closely with the Senior Corporate Accountant.
This role is responsible for supporting the Finance Operations team in executing effective controls and processes related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounting. Responsibilities include assisting with month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and supporting schedules, reconciling assigned GL accounts, and performing P&L review over various expense accounts. The Corporate Accountant will assist in implementing controls and procedures to help mitigate areas of risk. This role will also help compile work papers and documents for audits, support internal controls, and contribute to process improvements. You’ll gain valuable exposure to financial operations, internal reporting, and audit preparation in a supportive, team-based environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
The job responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant include the following:
Complete assigned month-end, quarter end, and year end close procedures, including account reconciliations and roll forward schedules, and assist with the consolidation process under senior team guidance. Complete assigned cash and bank reconciliations for AR and AP accounts, including posting ZBA entries, monitoring and posting cash activities as necessary, and performing daily bank reconciliations, in collaboration with senior staff. Ensure financials comply with GAAP, working closely with the team. Contribute to the preparation of audited annual financial statements and PBC packages. Support internal management reporting and financial statement preparation. Assist in monthly/quarterly flux variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement reporting. Participate in process improvements and systems integrations to improve accuracy, financial control, and efficiency. Collaborate with the Senior Corporate Accountant and cross-functional teams on ad hoc analysis and projects.KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Solid Excel and analytical skills, with experience handling large datasets and a desire to grow reporting and modeling capabilities. Aptitude for learning and managing ERP data structures and reporting tools. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including professional writing and collaboration across departments. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with sound judgment, timeliness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Proven ability to problem-solve effectively and follow through to resolution. Ability to work with varying departments in order to meet role requirements and deadlines. Ability to assess current processes and recommend or implement improvements as needed.Competencies
