Financial Planning Specialist

Position Description
The Financial Planning Specialist plays an essential role in the firm, providing operational and administrative support to financial advisors to ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment. This individual provides client relationship support through managing, gathering, and analyzing client data; preparing preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables; preparing new accounts; conducting account transactions such as money movement and trades; and collaborating with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. The Financial Planning Specialist also responds to ad hoc requests, and coordinates and tracks business-as-usual projects.

Responsibilities

Assist financial advisors with daily activities, including maintaining calendars, preparing correspondence, and providing customer service.

Provide clients customer service in person and by phone, such as facilitating and resolving client service requests.

Prepare and review new account documents.

Prepare and review documents for all client meetings.

Manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly across multiple platforms.

Maintain administrative functions of the office, such as monitoring office supplies and mail.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete assignments independently in a fast-paced environment.

Extremely high level of attention to detail and organization.

Effective and efficient time management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and public-facing interactions.

Committed to providing exceptional, professional customer service in person, by phone, and via email.

Ability to adhere to industry rules and regulations as stated and required by the advisors and Ameriprise Financial.

Maintains discretion with confidential information.

Comfortable working as part of a team.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Experience with CRM systems

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

FINRA Series 7 and Series 66, and Florida 2-15 Life, Health, and Variable annuities.

Two years of experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
