Description Overview: A privately held investment management firm is seeking a Financial Operations Associate or Manager to join its collaborative and high-performing team. Known for its innovative approach and strong institutional client base, the firm manages billions in assets and operates with a lean, entrepreneurial structure. This role offers the opportunity to work across finance, operations, HR, and compliance functions, supporting both day-to-day processes and strategic initiatives. Position Summary: Reporting to the Chief Financial, Legal, and Compliance Officer, the Financial Operations Associate/Manager will play a key role in maintaining smooth internal operations and supporting critical financial and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: + Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor relationships, invoice approvals, payments, and journal entries + Payroll & Compensation: Oversee payroll processing, collaborate with vendors, and support compensation and benefits administration + HR Support: Handle onboarding/offboarding, background checks, and policy documentation + Accounting & Tax: Review monthly financials, assist with audits and tax filings, and prepare internal reports + Project Management: Support transitions in payroll, banking, compliance tools, and vendor relationships + Policy & Compliance: Help develop and monitor internal controls, regulatory filings, and compliance documentation Additional Details: + This is not a remote position; candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in-office approximately four days per week + Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications + Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k), and profit sharing + Support for professional development, including reimbursement for CFA exam completion Excited about this opportunity?
