As a Financial Manager you will be a strategic partner, a trusted advisor, and a catalyst for innovation. You’ll collaborate across teams, influence key decisions, and help drive the business forward with clarity and confidence.

The financial manager II will oversee cost management, containment and revenue optimisation for FNB’s card schemes. The role requires strong analytical skills, a strong understanding of transactional card products, understanding of scheme costs, and robust stakeholder management across internal and external business partners.
Key responsibilities:
Track, analyse and report all scheme related costs and track this against associated revenue such as interchange.Analyse invoices against scheme partner contract and ensure alignment.Identify drivers of costs and recommend containment strategies.Develop models to forecast and budget scheme costsEngage with the scheme partner network on costsCollaborate and engage with FMs in transact BUs on associated costs.Support the team in pricing strategy and negotiations to maximize net revenue and optimise costs.Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to leadership and relevant committees.Keep abreast of domestic and global trends related to card schemes costing and pricing structures.Manage and mentor a junior FM resource
Required skills & qualifications:
Financial analysis and acumen: Advanced analytical skills, strong track record in financial modelling, cost management and budgeting.Transactional card product knowledge: demonstrated understanding of card payment transaction flows, 4-party model and how card schemes work.Stakeholder management: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, proven experience influencing decision makers and building consensus across diverse teams. Plan and apply relevant principles to accurately record, adjust and reconcile financial transactions and events.Qualifications
Qualified ACCA/ CA (SA) or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.At least 4 - 5 years’ experience in financial managementYou Will Have Access To
