Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FLT COMPTROLLER of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND. Responsibilities You will formulate budget estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will implement internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 To qualify for the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience with the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of civilian personnel budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels. Experience analyzing reports related to reviewing and evaluating civilian personnel budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. Experience creating, correcting, and advising on errors within the most robust and complex online databases to provide information concerning overall budget and/or financial objectives to be achieved. Experience with assessments and problem solving and providing customer service to a broad range of people. Experience interpreting, assessing and projecting potential impacts on of new/revised Congressional legislation.
