About the Role

Support the Associate Director, Financial Crime Compliance - Analytics and KYC
- to implement applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and counter financing terrorist (CFT) and anti-corruption controls in relevant AIAHK and Macau operations; and
- to monitor and timely identify potential suspicious transactions in accordance with the AIA Group policies and guidelines and local regulatory requirements in AML, Economics Sanctions & anti-corruption

Roles and Responsibilities:

Effective implementation of Financial Crime Compliance Program

Support the Associate Director, Financial Crime Compliance - Analytics and KYC to implement controls as required by AIA AML/CTF and anti-corruption programmes and external/internal auditors in a timely, complete, understandable and accurate manner.Collaborate with the department heads and team leads of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk, and Operations, to ensure AML considerations are integrated into business processes and new product/service development.Provide training on AML compliance requirements to employees, promoting a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.Serve as a subject matter expert on AML matters, in particular to transaction monitoring, payor due diligence, payment controls, during external audits, regulatory examinations, and due diligence reviews, and conduct case review.Initiate regular and/or ad-hoc gap analyses and gap closure projects under AML and Economic Sanctions Programs, covering but not limited transaction monitoring, payor due diligence and payment controls.Review the quality assurance and sample testing on the work performed by Line 1 and Line 1.5 and Line 2 and maintain the AML 4-Tier Model.

Maintaining a robust Transaction Monitoring (TM) systems

To embed TM controls into the daily operational process of Compliance and first lines, including but not limited to Life Operations, Claims, Payment SolutionsOn-going review of the performance of TM systems and payment-related controls. Ensure key AML/CFT controls on TM systems and payment-related controls are continuously enhanced and any identified deficiency are timely resolved.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Law or Business with a minimum of 5 years solid working experience in the financial services industry focused on compliance, risk management, legal and/ or internal controls.Professional qualification in life insurance, Compliance, Internal Audit, IT Audit or related disciplines is preferred.In-depth understanding of the Insurance business is preferred.Have hands-on experience to data analytics and data extraction tools.Good interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated.Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.Independent and be able to work under pressure.Be organized, detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.High level of integrity and take ownership and accountability of results.
