About the Role
My client, a leading manufacturer in Pontypool, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team. The company operates with a reputation for quality and innovation, delivering industry-leading products within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all financial operations including month-end and year-end reportingMaintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesManage and improve financial systems, including the use of Sage Intacct finance softwareProvide timely financial analysis and guidance to support business decision-makingLead internal controls and audit processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiencies

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing or construction-related industriesStrong knowledge of Sage Intacct or other Sage accounting software is highly desirableExcellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standardsStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentRelevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred
