Financial Control Accountant - Chicago, IL

Position Summary:
The primary role of the Financial Control Accountant is to maintain subsidiary ledgers and account for transactional fees for our futures commission merchant business. Areas of responsibility includes broker commission payouts, and other variable and fixed direct trading costs. This role supports profitability analysis and reporting including return on capital metrics. The Financial Control Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager to maximize development, learning and departmental efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:Accounting and settlement of broker payouts and other transactional expensesSupport development of new commission payout processing systemCalculate monthly payouts using existing Access Database or new commission payout systemMaintain database of exchange, clearing, and NFA fees under the direction of the Accounting ManagerPrepare monthly transactional expense accrual accounting entry and related entries and reconciliationsOther general accounting tasksJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel1-3 years experience in Finance Services as an accountant or analyst a plusExperience in the futures industry a plusAbility to meet deadlinesPromotes the ADM Way and Core ValuesExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
