FDM is seeking a Financial Analyst located in Toronto, ON to support a project in the finance sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.

The team is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for Canadian registered brokers/dealers. The team prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators.

Responsibilities: 

Preparing and analyzing risk adjusted capital, including margin and other regulatory capital deduction schedules in accordance with local regulatory rules on a weekly and monthly basis;  Supporting month end close processes involving journal entries booking, reconciliations and variance analysis;   Addressing ad hoc requests from other functional areas (legal, compliance, tax, operations, etc);  Assisting with local regulatory, statutory and tax audits; and  Maintaining appropriate procedures and documentation.
