HYBRID - 3 days in office or on-site at facility, 2 days remote. Financial Analyst Sr. - Acute Nursing
Position Summary:
Financial Analyst Sr plays a critical role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and operational budgeting for acute nursing departments within the Novant Healthcare system. This role involves partnering with nursing leadership to analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic objectives. The analyst provides insights and recommendations to optimize nursing services while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets for acute nursing units, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.
+ Collaborate with nursing leadership and hospital administration to track labor costs, productivity, and staffing patterns.
+ Analyze trends in patient volume, acuity, and nursing resource utilization to support efficient staffing and cost management.
+ Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for nursing departments.
+ Identify and recommend strategies to improve financial performance without compromising patient care quality.
+ Assist in the development of financial models related to nursing service lines and initiatives.
+ Support nursing leadership in the evaluation of new programs, technologies, or staffing models from a financial perspective.
+ Facilitate communication between finance, nursing, and other clinical departments to ensure shared understanding of financial goals and constraints.
+ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies related to budgeting and financial reporting.
+ Mentor junior financial analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes within the nursing division.

Qualifications
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Business, Accounting or Finance degree.
+ Experience: Minimum of three years experience in accounting or financial analysis role, required.
+ Licensure/Certification: CPA license or eligibility, preferred.
+ Additional Skills (required): Proficient in excel. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and research skills
