Job Description

How you will make an impact:

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting reporting, planning, analyzing, forecasting and budgeting for the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD). This role will be actively involved in business partnering with the division functional teams (IT, Supply Chain, Legal, etc.) and Group finance, to execute the tactical objectives in support of business reviews, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, and the strategic planning processes.

What you will do:

·         Support all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes with a focus on variance analysis, modeling, and reporting

·         Assist in the development of the annual operational planning process (AOP) as well as the annual strategic planning process (STRAP)

·         Provide financial insights and recommendations

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams – both internal to LCD and with Group (FP&A, Systems, etc.) - to drive reporting accuracy and process efficiency

·         Prepare detailed analysis of monthly expense & headcount trend data to support accurate financial reporting and reliable forecasting of expenses for Opex (IT / Marketing / Finance / HR functions)

·         Drive a continuous improvement approach with a focus on automation and operational improvements on key FP&A processes (improved FX modeling, P&L reporting, divisional analytics)

·         Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

·         Lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as assigned or as self-identified areas for improvement

·         Strong financial competence in financial analysis, forecasting and reporting

·         Strong attention to detail with commitment to providing quality results

·         Proven track record to make logical assumptions, identify trends, incorporate information, draw conclusions from data, and benchmark results against appropriate baselines

·         Ability to analyze and communicate variances to management while identifying and implementing operational improvements

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to convey analysis and presentations clearly to management

·         History of participating in cross-functional teams and building strong interpersonal relationships with peers and partners

·         Ability to balance multiple assignments, exercise good judgment, and prioritize projects and time efficiently

·         Dedication to continuous learning and professional development, seeking opportunities to stretch capabilities

·         Excellent skills with MS Excel, Hyperion Planning (PLN) and CMR; preferred skills with Power BI and COGNOS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Business Administration

Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
