Trane Technologies in Davidson, NC is hiring a Financial Analyst for its Corporate Finance team. Corporate Finance provides financial support to the worldwide enterprise across a range of disciplines, including Corporate Accounting and Financial Planning. The Financial Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for long-term and short-term financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, and the creation of tools to help understand and drive decision-making. A financial analyst in this group reports to the Finance Manager, Global Supply Chain and Strategic Initiatives and will manage several high profile financial responsibilities. This position plays a key role in providing analytical and business decision support to drive financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic goals.
What you will do:
Work with Corporate Cost Functional Cost Owners and FP&A teams to coordinate the collection of information required to develop, analyze, and/or modify financial plans, which include month end close, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plans (AOP)
Partner with Corporate ISC leaders to analyze and interpret operating results, investigating variances and unusual items; and evaluating their effect on operations, report results along with recommendations for action
Create tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems. Design, improve and maintain financial systems and models
Participate in the evaluation and review of major capital investments
Partner with global procurement org to monitor global commodity pricing and evaluate impact on direct material spend
Partner with Corporate and Business Unit ISC teams to improve reporting of key operational metrics reflecting plant performance
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
1-3 years experience in finance, accounting or related field , strong financial analysis skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish & implement processes and perform in a fast-paced environment, while also to building a positive rapport and attitude with personnel throughout the worldwide organization.
Advanced Excel Skills. Knowledgeable in MS Office. Data Analytics/Visualization (Tableau, Dataiku) a plus
