Financial Analyst II

**Job Description**
The selected candidate will be responsible for filling the role of Financial Analyst II, supporting various programs and miscellaneous task order awards. Prepares weekly and monthly financial reports that are delivered to the customer. Pulls weekly General Ledger reports from COGNOS (reporting software) and reconciles that data, prepares and submits adjusting entries as required when errors are discovered. Prepares Purchase Requisitions for Subcontractors. Reviews and processes subcontractor invoices. Reviews Contracts and modifications provided by Contracts Team and provides any relevant comments regarding approval or changes needed. Reviews invoices to customers and works with Billing to resolve any issues. Prepares customer invoice reconciliation reports. Reviews, identifies, and coordinates resolutions of Accounts Receivable issues. Provides month-end close review and report preparations internally. Performs other related duties as assigned.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field and at least 2 years of related experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
CostPoint experience
Familiarity with various financial reports such as Contract Financial Summaries/Project Status Reports, General Ledger reports, and Estimates to Complete
Familiarity with financial/accounting software/databases
Experience with government contracts/finance
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
