Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy Inc. and Florida Power and Light are seeking a Financial Analyst II at the corporate headquarters in Juno Beach. This role sits in the Financial Center of Excellence, within the Corporate support team in the Financial Planning and Analysis group. The corporate support team partners with the business units to provide both scheduled monthly reports including the Monthly Operation Performance Review (MOPR), MOPR supporting schedules, variance analysis, and other Ad-Hoc analysis, as well as be the primary liaison in their budget & forecast process. In addition to working with the Business Units on reporting & analytics, this role would collaborate with other FP&A teams for additional Business Unit insight, master data changes, and system implementation and enhancements. This role has the opportunity to focus on continuous improvement and automation, often partnering with IT and other FP&A teams. Job OverviewEmployees in this role supports Senior Management decision making via financial modeling, including but not limited to, revenue requirement and customer bill impacts, discounted cash flow analysis and financial statement modeling. This position identifies and conducts moderately complex analyses of financial impacts of issues and/or decisions facing the company and proposes strategies to maximize financial performance of company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities• Identifies, analyzes, and communicates to management the impact on the Company's financial structure, profitability, financial integrity, and competitive position utilizing relevant analytical methods and/or department’s forecasting models
• Provides financial analysis support for various projects, calculating revenue requirements, net present value, customer bill impact, etc.
• Provides expertise, support, and financial training for the company departments requiring these services
• Performs financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies
• Prepares PowerPoint presentations to be provided to Senior and Executive Management
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
