Summary of Position
The Financial Analyst supports the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis by delivering accurate, data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role is responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, performance analysis, and business intelligence using tools such as Microsoft Business Central, Power BI, and other data platforms. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership to enhance visibility, accountability, and performance across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards using Power BI and other analytics toolsExtract and analyze data from Microsoft Business Central and related systems to support reporting and decision-makingSupport the budgeting, demand planning, forecasting, planning cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsConduct variance, trend, and scenario analyses and provide insights to management and operational teamsBuild and maintain robust financial models to support planning and performance managementPartner with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to develop performance metrics and business reportsSupport month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles with timely and accurate data insightsDrive reporting automation and process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiencyAssist in developing executive-level reports and presentations that communicate financial performance and KPIsEnsure data integrity and adherence to internal controls, governance frameworks, and corporate standardsRequired Competencies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex data clearlyHigh proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and ERP/reporting systems (preferably Microsoft Business Central)Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field. CPA designation or working towards designation is preferred.3–5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or business intelligenceProficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with DAX, SQL, or related tools.Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred)Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysisExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or product-based businesses is preferredWorking knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards and internal controls.What We Offer:
