Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant Details:

Direct Hire position$70,000.00 to $80,000.00 /annuallyFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)This is a professional position responsible for contributing to the profitability of the Company by providing accurate, timely and actionable financial and non-financial information as it relates to the production and costs of manufacturing.InventoryAssist with the annual physical and daily cycle count process. Work with BC Specialist to investigate cycle/physical count variances and resolve issues.Prepare and update the standard costs as requested by Engineering.Audit and control the Bills of Materials, routings, and overhead applications used in production. Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold monthly.Maintain ledgers for the perpetual inventory; provide reconciliations and analysis as required.Maintain an adequate reserve for obsolescence and dispose of obsolete inventory within the Delegation of Authority.Accounting, Analysis, and Other DutiesPrepare month-end journal entries as they relate to the manufacturing and distribution.Prepare PPV analysis and appropriate entries.Prepare, journal, and analyze the valuation of commodities (lead) and maintain required reserves. Provide reports on material usage, labor productivity and efficiency, PPV, and production variance reports.Prepares monthly and sales reports, including price, volume, and mix analysis.Provide analysis on breakeven points by products, work centers, etc. as needed.Assists with development of annual budget and forecasts.Assist with process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting.

Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required3-5 years’ experienceAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesAdvanced math, analytical and decision-making skills.Working knowledge of financial strategies.Must be organized, self-starting and detail oriented.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced command of Excel; must be able to manage large data sets and work in complex workbooksAble to work in a changing environment; must be able to promote suggestions to assist in the creation of an efficient workflow.Must be able to present ideas and reports in a professional manner; be an integral part of the manufacturing and distribution information flow
