Financial Analyst - Addison, TX

Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will work within our Accounting Department and will be responsible for preparing financial reports for Malin leadership.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic planning and forecasting.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis
* Calculate and process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions in accordance with compensation plans.
* Maintain and update commission systems and databases.
* Analyze commission data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Respond to inquiries from sales staff regarding commission calculations and payments.
* Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock accuracy.
* Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and propose corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems.
* Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with contracts and policies.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to resolve billing issues.
* Maintain and update billing systems and customer records.
* Generate reports on billing activity, trends, and performance metrics.

Position Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* 3-5 years in relevant finance or accounting work.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
* Experience in an analysis role.
* Hybrid position. Must be able to work from the office several days a week.
* Experience in Logistics industry or a closely related field is a plus.
