Financial Analyst

Aston Carter's large client in Burnaby is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team! This individual will assist in preparing accurate financial reports and supporting month-end procedures, while also helping to modernize finance processes through the effective use of systems and digital tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•\tPrepare and analyze monthly and quarterly performance reports to support senior management decision-making

•\tPrepare and maintain leasing schedules, reports, and entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

•\tProcess new lease agreements and obtain financing rates

•\tAdminister corporate credit card programs and handle various banking administration as required

•\tProcess capital expenditure (CAPEX) approval requests and administer the workflow

•\tSupport for daily cash management and treasury tasks

•\tPrepare reports and support for insurance renewals and ongoing programs

•\tPrepare reports and support for financial and bank audits

•\tPreparation and support for annual budget

•\tMaintain and support the current FP&A software

•\tComplete various governmental surveys as requested

•\tComplete special and ad hoc projects and research as requested by senior management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

•\tBachelor’s degree in Business, with a focus in Finance or Accounting

•\t3+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting (full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, lease work, analysis/variance analysis)

•\tHigh proficiency with MS Excel

•\tStrong communication and the ability and present insights clearly to different stakeholders

o\tComfortable gathering information and communicating professionally

•\tHigh aptitude for technology

NICE TO HAVE:

•\tCPA or professional designation

•\tExperience taking on projects and initiative

•\tExperience working cross-functionally across teams

•\tGreat Plains, Management Reporter or Vena software experience

•\tExperience with or exposure to system implementations

•\tExperience in the building products or distribution industry

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BURNABY, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
