Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the SAP S/4HANA upgrade project as a key user and temporary backfill. This position involves financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement while collaborating closely with operations and project teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to drive efficiency and accuracy during this transition with expertise in manufacturing or CPG space.

Responsibilities

Act as a key user for the SAP S/4HANA implementation project.Perform financial analysis, reporting, and month-end closing activities.Pull and structure data from SAP for KPIs, accruals, and operational insights.Drive process improvements and automation using Advanced Excel and other tools.Collaborate with operations, project engineers, and finance teams to validate data and quantify cost impacts.Support annual contract planning, forecasting, and financial modeling.Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in SAP and/or SAP S/4HANA.Strong skills in Excel, including macros.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Power BI.Background as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Plant Controller.Experience with month-end closing, accruals, and KPI reporting.Degree in Accounting or Finance, Engineering, or related field.CPA designation or in process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the CPG industry.Competency in Power BI and SQL.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite, requiring presence in the office 5 days a week, with a standard 40-hour workweek. Occasionally, work may be required over weekends during month-end closures, which is compensated as time in lieu. The position is located in a manufacturing plant in Hamilton, ON. The dress code is business casual, with safety shoes provided if working on the floor. The team works closely with other section controllers and finance managers.

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00/hr.
