Financial Analyst
Job Title: Financial AnalystJob Description The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the success of the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Energy Solutions team. Collaborating closely with a seasoned development team, you will work towards crafting energy solutions that align with corporate sustainability goals and support a mission of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. The position involves creating and analyzing financial models for numerous project proposals, each with varying scenarios and multiple runs. Responsibilities + Develop and understand project economics, cash flows, and returns, with a strong proficiency in financial modeling using Excel. + Maintain data integrity by ensuring the accuracy of financial models, databases, and data collection processes. + Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives, with clarity and persuasiveness. + Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to efficiently move projects forward. + Conduct pricing analysis to evaluate and optimize pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions. + Utilize historical data and market trends to develop accurate sales forecasts for planning future sales targets and resource allocation. + Analyze sales data, trends, and performance metrics to derive insights that inform sales and development strategies. + Create regular reports and dashboards summarizing sales and development data for management and sales teams. + Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, competitive landscape, and industry trends to inform sales strategies. + Provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales processes, product offerings, and new market entry. Essential Skills + Proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis. + 3+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis (FP&A). + Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and reporting/modeling. + Strong critical thinking and curiosity with a desire to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. + Experience with underwriting and financial reporting. + Strong data analysis skills and experience with heavy market research. + Experience in process improvement. Work Environment Join the energy team based in Denver, acting as a liaison between the energy project team and corporate finance. You will create financial models for prospective energy projects and present them to the finance team for budgeting and approval. The role offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote, becoming more flexible once trained. Initially, you will spend 3 days in the office for training. The team fosters a relaxed culture with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
