Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid – onsite Tuesday & Thursday) Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Compensation: $55-60/hr DOQ Type: Contract Start/End Dates: 1/26/2026 – 7/31/2026 Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will support Financial Planning & Analysis activities focused on operating expense budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role delivers actionable insights through rigorous financial analysis, advanced Excel modeling, and data visualization to inform strategic decision-making. Responsibilities + Support annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes, including template development, input consolidation, and detailed variance analysis. + Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives. + Prepare monthly financial reporting packages with clear performance insights versus budget and forecast. + Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data accuracy. + Produce ad hoc analyses and reports to support business decisions and leadership requests. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. + 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles. + Advanced Excel modeling skills; Power BI proficiency preferred. + Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting methodologies, and business drivers. + Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase, Anaplan) preferred. + Demonstrated ability to communicate financial insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders. + Self-directed, detail-oriented professional with strong accountability and problem-solving skills.
