Financial Analyst
Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis team in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the financial success of hospitals nationwide through detailed reporting, analytics, and collaboration with key stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making and improving operational performance. Responsibilities: • Prepare and deliver accurate financial forecasts and reports to assist operational leaders in strategic decision-making. • Analyze and interpret large data sets to perform research, modeling, and strategic evaluations aimed at enhancing performance and patient satisfaction. • Contribute to the creation of annual budgets and assist in presenting inpatient budget plans. • Collaborate with Directors of Finance and Business Development to conduct pro forma analyses for acquisitions, start-ups, and relocations. • Examine consolidated financial statements to identify trends and variances. • Perform market analyses and calculate contract rates, considering the potential impact of regulatory changes on hospital operations. • Undertake complex ad hoc projects to address the specific needs of hospitals and leadership teams. • Provide actionable insights through financial modeling and variance analysis. • Support strategic initiatives by leveraging advanced data mining techniques. Requirements • Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting in a detail-oriented environment. • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting. • Expertise in handling large data sets and conducting strategic analyses. • Solid understanding of variance analysis and its application in decision-making. • Knowledge of market analysis and contract rate calculations. • Familiarity with regulatory impacts on healthcare financial operations. • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. • Advanced skills in data mining and statistical techniques.
